Ice Creams: Very Berry and Mango Tango

Very Berry Ice Cream

Serves 6-8

Ingredients:

16 ounces frozen berries

2 cups plain greek yogurt

2 tablespoon honey or 10 drops of vanilla stevia

Ice, if needed

 

Directions:

  • In a high powered blender, combine all ingredients until smooth and thick.
  • If the mix needs to be thicker, add a few ice cubes and blend well.
  • Serve immediately.

 

 

Mango Tango Ice Cream- SFM

Serves 4-6

 

Ingredients:

16 ounces frozen mango chunks

2 tablespoons honey or 10 drops of vanilla stevia (use stevia for SFM)

1 lime, juiced

1 large banana

1 cup plain greek yogurt

Ice if needed

 

Directions:

  • In a high powered blender, combine all ingredients until thick and creamy.
  • If the mix needs to be thicker, add a few ice cubes and blend well.
  • Serve immediately.

 

Note:  Making healthy ice creams are a great way of having fun in the kitchen with your kids. To make your own creation you can use any frozen fruit.  Nice add-ins include coconut cream, desiccated coconut, nuts, and seed. If the ice cream is sweet enough without adding a sweetener – then omit it.  As your kids get used to a low sugar lifestyle they will need less and less of the sweetener.
