Healthy Halloween at My House

Halloween does not have to be a sugar and chemical fest.

Nature has provided so much naturally foolish colored foods that Halloween can be clean and fun!!

Here is some great recipes that my family will be using this Halloween weekend!!

 

Green Monster Overnight Oats

Ingredients:

1 large handful fresh spinach

1 large ripe banana

1.5 tbsp chia seeds

1 cup of milk beverage

1/4 cup rolled oats, gluten free if needed

2 scoops of VANILLA Kidzshake

Directions:

. In a blender, blend together the spinach, banana, chia seeds, and milk beverage until smooth.

. In a small bowl, add the oats and then pour blender contents on top. Stir well until combined.

. Place in fridge covered overnight. Give it a good stir in the morning and then enjoy it cold, straight from the fridge. Add desired toppings as you wish such as nut butter, granola, coconut, or fruit.

Spooky Green Shake

Ghoulish GREEN SHAKE

serves 2

Ingredients:

1 cup of frozen pineapple

1 apple

4 scoops of vanilla kidzshake or 2 tablespoons of hemp seeds

1 cup of coconut water

Directions:

Blend on high until smooth.

 

Fruitilicious JACK O’ LANTERNS

Ingredients:

3 Medium Navel Oranges

1 cup Mixed Fruit – Your choice, I prefer berries

KidzSPRINKLES (optional)

Directions:

1.Slice off the tops of the oranges.

Using a spoon, scoop out the pulp of the oranges.

Cut out faces on each orange to resemble a Jack O Lantern.

Fill each orange with mixed fruit, sprinkle on KidzSprinkles and serve.

 

 

PIZZAS!

INGREDIENTS
healthy pizza bases

Tomato Paste or tomato pizza sauce

Red, green, yellow peppers

Tomatoes

Olives

Uncured salami

Mozzarella Cheese

Anything else healthy that your kids like to eat.

Directions:

Top pizza base with tomato sauce and cheese
