The easiest way to make sure that your kids are getting a really great lunch is to pack it yourself. This may seem like a big job at first but once you establish a routine of healthy food your kids like to eat for lunch, it only takes a few minutes everyday. If you and you child want to continue using the cafeteria, many schools have healthier options available. Take the time to visit the school or give the cafeteria staff a phone call to see what options your cafeteria offers. If there is no healthy options- then join the PTA and rally your school district to make a change. If your child is continuing to make unhealthy choices for lunch despite your efforts to educate them in healthier choices, make sure that breakfast and their afternoon snack are super healthy!!
